POLICIES

PAYMENT

Cash or check is preferred. Venmo and Credit/Debit cards are accepted. Payment is due at the end of the session. Gratuities are always appreciated.

ARRIVAL FOR YOUR SESSION

For your first appointment, please arrive 15 minutes prior to the scheduled starting time. This allows time to review the Client Intake Form, discuss a treatment plan, and prepare for your massage. After your first appointment, please arrive five minutes prior to your scheduled starting time. Early arrival allows for a relaxed and unhurried experience. If possible, please complete your Client Intake form before your appointment.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Please provide at least 24 hours notice if you need to reschedule or cancel an appointment. Please contact me by phone or text. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the appointment will be subject to a 100% charge. There will be no late cancellation fees if you are rescheduling your appointment because you're experiencing symptoms of COVID, cold, or flu, or in a medical emergency.

LATE ARRIVAL POLICY

In the event of a late arrival, your massage may need to be shortened in order to stay on schedule. When the schedule will allow, a partial or full appointment may be accommodated. The original reservation fee will be charged. If you are 20 minutes late, this is considered a no-show.

NO SHOW POLICY

Clients who fail to show for appointments may be asked to pre-pay in full for future services. After 2 missed appointments/no-shows, no future appointments will be allowed.

INSURANCE

I am not currently contracted with health insurance companies. However, motor vehicle accident clients are accepted. A superbill can be provided for your auto insurance company.

SCOPE OF PRACTICE

Massage Therapy is a profession in which the practitioner applies manual techniques, with the intention of positively affecting the health and well-being of the client. Massage Therapists do not diagnose or prescribe for medical conditions, nor are they allowed to provide treatment for a specific condition without a doctor's supervision.

INAPROPRIATE TOUCH

Massage sessions are strictly non-sexual. If either the client or the massage therapist feels that a sexual boundary has been crossed, verbally or physically, the massage session will be stopped immediately.

ILLNESS

For the safety of myself and all other clients, if you are feeling unwell, have a fever or other signs of illness, please call and I will reschedule the appointment. No fee will be charged. If you are ill, massage will exacerbate symptoms leaving you feeling worse afterwards.

HYGIENE

Both the massage therapist and client are expected to maintain good body hygiene. Clients should arrive clean (free of sweat, dirt, and medicated ointments) and wearing clean clothes. Any contagious skin conditions (like plantar warts or athletes foot) must be disclosed before treatment begins.

The treatment table and linens will be cleaned in between clients, with appropriate disinfecting measures taken. A face mask will be worn by the massage therapist during the massage. Clients may remain masked or unmasked.
